Breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from: English breakfast with sausages, hash browns, baked beans, fried egg, bacon and black pudding, Continental breakfast with croissants, pain-au-chocolat, bread for toasting, muffins, butter, jam, honey, ham, turkey cold cuts, salami, cheddar cheese (not the best one though), muesli and cereal. Coffee, milk, tea, juices. Pretty long breakfast hours. No long wait for the elevators because there are 3 of them. The rooms have an OK size for London. The water in the shower is hot. Not that much pressure but that's because a water saver is installed in the shower head. The room comes with a fridge for beverages. Has AC which we didn't use. Big TV (55 inches I think). You will find some grocery stores and restaurants just a few minutes by foot from the hotel. Nearby underground station. If you arrive early before your room is ready or want to explore the city between check-out and your flight, the front desk will store your luggage for you. Solid free internet. May not be good for streaming but hey, you are supposed to go sightseeing. No password required. I had no trouble with it at all. You just need to re-activate it when not used for a while. Mattresses were a little harder than I am used to but I slept really well. I found them comfortable. Very nice and helpful staff. Thank you!

We were pleasantly surprised at how good the hotel was, we usually stay at Hilton but were on a budget this time. the location was great, super central yet felt residential. we slept with a window open and didn't hear any noise which is surprising given its central London. The breakfast was so good and saved us a lot of money and we were full for most of the day, lots of selections, the room was comfortable. We liked how whenever you encountered a member of staff in the hotel, they smiled and said hello. The bar staff were accommodating. We had ice every day which we got from the bar. We paid three times as much in December for another luxury hotel and I can honestly say we had just as good a stay at the holiday inn. Will definitely recommend.

At first, the room looked basic to the point of austerity, but then I discovered that everything in it worked very well and was fit for purpose. For example, an in-room climate control that actually worked! Lots of shelf space, good-sized drawers, a makeup mirror and desk lamp, a hanging rail that was at eye level and which I didn't have to reach up to use, an exceptionally good wine cooler style mini-fridge, etc. The breakfast consisted of standard fare, exceptionally well cooked, and the breakfast chef greeted everyone warmly every morning and served out the precise quantity requested. All in all, a very pleasant stay that exceeded my expectations.

The room was a good size and well laid out; all staff are exceptional from cleaning to restaurant to front office. The location for us was extremely central for what we wanted to do - close to the Great Portland Underground Station (300 m) or about 800 m to Warren St, not far from Baker St. The aircon worked well and the breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold; taxis are generally close by as are a choice of restaurant. A Tesco and a Sainsbury are also close. This is our second time here and the impression second time round is as good as the first. Yes, we would willingly stay again.

Ian

The lady on reception when i checked was super helpful, she wrote me a list of restaurants near to were we were going. The gentleman in the hotel bar in the evening was very lovely to my daughter, letting her pick a chocolate coin. He made her feel very special. Breakfast was amazing, the food was very good & the service was exceptional. The guy who was cleaning the tables was just super amazing. Multitasking at its finest, it was impressive to watch. The whole restaurant was very clean & organised. Our room was very clean & quite. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks everyone.
